HANOI Series

The Hanoi series is about people, maybe more than the previous series I made. All the pictures in the series are rather portraits of people on the street, surrounded by their environment. I found a very particular sense of intimacy in Hanoi. Pride, the bond with the land, the strong relationship that the Vietnamese have with matter, with the earth, with nature and love for life permeates everything. You feel it in the gestures of everyday life, even the simplest ones. The series has an earthy color palette, which embraces all the color tones of the city. Buildings, walls, trees, roads, gravel and earth, bamboo, wood, brick, stone and the markets with their goods, the food in the streets, even the smells are in the palette that envelops all the images in the series. These are the things that I have seen and that I want to talk about, that I want to tell in my works.
