Raffaele Cornaggia, with his unique works and creator of Scraps World
Inside the Cartoon Art Gallery, thanks to an anonymous sponsor and the help of a dear friend, the artist from Morbegno exhibited Anger Cyber Fish. Raptor represents the latest evolutionary level of the cyberfish species, which includes two other fish, created entirely with old computer components. A great success for the artist who just five years ago created the Scraps Word project, giving life to countless works, all the result of recycled materials.

Raffaele Cornaggia di Licia Colò shows his art reborn from waste on TV
From the Sondrio Festival to national television. The artistic and educational project of Scraps World, the world born from the scraps of human civilization created by the artist Raffaele Cornaggia, made a stop in the Roman studios where Licia Colò strongly wanted Morbegnese’s works in the program “The world together”.
A look at the sea. “Poseidon” reigns over the Sondrio Festival
The 2018 edition of Sondrio festival looks to the sea, without forgetting the protected areas of the territory and of the whole world. The symbol of the international documentary exhibition on parks, in fact, this year will be “Poseidon”, a sculpture by Raffaele Cornaggia entirely made with pieces of recycled plastic: more than three meters high, the work will be positioned in Piazza Garibaldi as a warning against pollution of the seas caused by the thousands of tons of plastic that end up in the water every day.

SCRAPS WORLD EDUCATION
The transition to an attitude of active defense of the environment is a natural consequence for Cornaggia. With Scraps World, Cornaggia operates in East Asian countries but also in Europe by addressing children and adolescents not only by involving them in initiatives for the collection, recovery and reuse of objects with which they give life to sculptures such as the Flip Flop Turtle made with hundreds of slippers in abandoned rubber but instilling a love for them, for their shape and for the ideas that inspired them.
