SODOMA & GOMORRA

Many things have been said about Sodom and Gomorrah but still the story remains a myth. The only proof that Sodom and Gomorrah really existed has been handed down to us from the Book of Genesis. Therefore the imagination of the Artist of these two cities in an extremely personal one, a sort of amusement park for visionaries, where his gaze is neither accusing nor benevolent, but simply amused and curious, open to welcoming as much as possible. An enormous freak show designed with kitsch and geometric rationality, such as that of the crib, where one can lose themselves and scrutinise an intimate everyday life that is as hybrid as it is metaphysical. Sodoma and Gomorra is an open-ended project, to which the Artist continues to add artwork. An ever-expanding project, as Sodom and Gomorrah would be if they had survived the Divine Wrath: an irrational, chaotic, exuberant and spontaneous expansion. Just like that of all modern cities.
